Micro Ferrules Instruction Guide

The IDEX Health & Science Micro Ferrules are designed to facilitate the connection of various sizes of small outer diameter (OD) tubing to standard ports designed for 1/16" OD tubing, up to 4000 psi.

To use this ferrule, please follow these instructions:

1. After placing the appropriate nut on your small OD tubing, place the Micro Ferrule over the tubing. (Please use the diagram for reference to ensure the proper orientation of the Micro Ferrule on the tubing.) Make certain that your tubing is either flush with the end of the Micro Ferrule or sticks slightly past the end of the Ferrule’s nose prior to tightening the assembly into the receiving port.
2. Take your assembly to the appropriate receiving port and insert the tubing until it bottoms out inside the port. While holding the tubing in place, tighten the nut snugly with your fingers; if the head of the nut you are using has a pattern designed for use with a wrench, tighten 1/4-turn past finger tight with the appropriate tool.
